Q

Discuss MCB light indication for SWYD breakers

A

Red/Green => position (closed/open)
MCB: Red when all three poles closed
MANCHESTER: one pole closed will receive red light (covers safety protection of any phase energized)
Blue => Remote control available
Both MCB or ESCC
Relay room switch is in the remote position

Q

Discuss relay room light indication for 345 SWYD breakers

A

Two Red lights – One for each set of trip coils (Sys #1 & Sys #2)
Means that all 3 poles of the PCB are shut and the 3 trip coils have continuity
One Green light
Means that the all 3 poles of the PCB are open.

A

With less than the above minimum required A.C. electrical power sources OPERABLE,
immediately suspend all operations involving CORE ALTERATIONS, positive reactivity
changes, movement of irradiated fuel, or crane operation with loads over the fuel
storage pool, and within 8 hours, depressurize and vent the Reactor Coolant System
through a greater than or equal to 1.58-square-inch vent
