- All calls for service
What is an Officer to do, as soon as practicable, when they fail to activate their BWC regardless of their reason?

Describe circumstances where an Officer is prohibited from turning on their BWC.
- During encounters not directly related to official police duties
- Performance of non-enforcement functions or admin duties within a Department facility
- In places where reasonable expectation of privacy exists…ex. interior sections of domiciles, locker rooms hospitals etc.
- When dealing with victims of sex crimes or child abuse
- to record personal conversations between other members of the department without the recorded members permission/knowledge
- Whenever it would compromise the identities/ techniques of undercover officers
- during strip searches
- At the request of potential witness
- whenever a witness or victim requests they not be recorded and the situation is not confrontational
- when the victim requests they not be recorded as a condition of cooperation.
When a member of the public requests that a BWC be turned off, you should….
capture the request on the BWC prior to turning it off.
What should an officer do when a prohibited recording his made?
make a request for the deletion of the video to their supervisor. The request will document the facts and circumstances for the deletion request.
What does the BWC Administrator do whenever a deletion is done?

if practicable and when consistent with ensuring Officer safety
After a BWC has been activated, when should it be turned off?
- When Officer interactions have ceased or;
- The arrested subject has reached the booking area or;
- Upon determination that a prohibited recording has occurred
What should a BWC Officer do, when practicable, whenever a recroding is interrupted and/or prematurely terminated against policy?

When can a BWC be muted?
- conferences between people discussing confidential medical information
- When discussing investigative strategies, where disclosure of such would compromise future investigations
