Watch tower overlooks all cells.
Guards can see prisoners but cannot be seen so prisoners have to behave as though they are being watched at all times.
What is the broken window principle??
The more bad a place looks the more bad it - minor acts of disorder lead to serious crime

What are behavioural tactics?
Tactics used to make a persons behaviour to make them more socially compliant.
ASBO - in 1998 and breaking it can be up to 5 years in prison

What are ASBOs??
Anti-social behaviour order - if under 18 - civil can be 12 months, criminal can be 12 months - 2 years.
Seen as “badge of honour” in some young groups -49% breached it
