A

The island off of the west coast that all Asian immigrants came to in the thousands. People would wait for months and would be sent back frequently.

A

Steerage was the cheapest accommodation on boats coming to America from Europe, so it was often chosen. Although, it was crowded, crawling with disease, and ugly.

A

To bring more family, to purchase land in the EU, better jobs, less poverty, no forced military, food prices, religious prosecution, and breaking away from the class system/climbing the social ladder.

A
