Infants explore and learn about the world using their senses and motor activites.

What is Pre-operational (2-7 yrs)?

Children become increasingly able to mentally represent objects and experiences, to think and imagine something in their own mind.

What is Concrete Operational (7-12 yrs)?
A
Children are capable of true logical thought and can imagine the consequences of something happening. Their mental operations require concrete objects or events that are immediately present and experienced.

What is Formal Operational (12+ yrs)?
A
A person is capable of more complex thought processes and thinking becomes increasingly sophisticated.
