A
Local Area network
a group of devices in the same broadcast domain

A
a group of devices in the same broadcast domain separated logically instead of physically
(instead of 2 networks physically separated with 2 separate equipment, the 2 networks are separated logically using the same equipment)

What are VPNs?
A
encrypted private data traversing a public network

What is a VPN concentrator?
A
encryption/decryption access device (often integrated into a firewall)

Where is a VPN concentrator located?
A
Corporate network -> VPN concentrator -> Internet -> Remote User
Placed between the corporate network and the Internet going to the remote user
