A

Aquinas says that marriage is part of the natural law derived from our telos because it means we are in line with rearing of children. It secures parental guidance which is one of the things that Aquinas says is in our God-given telos.

Jesus himself remained unmarried and because he and therefore his actions are infallible, and also “in him there is no sin”, remaining unmarried is a good thing to do and cannot be considered wrong.

Plato wanted to abolish family and therefore marriage because he believed marriage broke apart society by making it in small divided groups. He thought that removal of family would strengthen the state.
