-A parable is a story that gets a point across.
The stories Jesus told were of real life events- these are more likely to stay in peoples minds.
-No two people come to the exact same conclusions about the meaning of the parables
-Jesus gave people the freedom to work things out for themselves in the stories and discover what God was saying to them in their own lives.
