What is human-computer interaction
It is a study of the User Interface (UI) between people and computers, referring to how people and computer systems interact and how efficient the system is to use.
What are the types of input methods
Pointer - Mouse, track ball and light pen
Keyboard - To input text, characters, and other commands.
Touch - Uses the sense of touch, most commonly touch screen
Movement - Uses sensors to detect human motion, e.g. Wii or Xbox Kinect.
What is the user interface
is anything a human may interact with to use a digital product or device.
What is the Graphic user interface
A user-friendly interface that makes use of windows, icons menus and pointers.
What is Touch user interface
Based on the sense of touch (haptics).
What is menu driven user interface
Provides commands on a list or menu
What is voice user interface
Uses speech recognition to understand spoken words (may or may not be natural language)
What is Natural language user interface (NLUI)
Interaction using spoken or written ‘human’ commands
What is Command line interface (CLI)
The user types commands for the computer to carry out, usually on one line
What are the issues with mobile phones
Too much time on a mobile phone may mean less physical activity and/or less sleep.
Obesity through lack of physical exercise.
It could also lead to mental health or relationship problems.
How do you prevent mobile phone issues
Cut back on mobile phone use.
Swap mobile phone experiences with real life ones.
implement a regulated sleep routine.
What are the issues with Desktops and Laptops for users
Repetitive strain injury (RSI)
Back, neck or shoulder pain.
Achy or tired muscles.
Headaches
How do you prevent Laptop/Desktop issues for humans
Take regular breaks.
Look away from screen for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.
Use ergonomics
