Some areas have migrants forced to live there e.g. Syrians in Milton Keynes, creating tension.
However, some proces experience White Flight and therefore tension may be less likely e.g. Slough
Wealth Creating Or Job Competition
Wealthy migrants (Oligarchs) invest in housing/prices rise, this can cause resentment but could trickle down.
In other areas migrants take jobs creating poverty/deprivation
Positive/Negative Attitude
Discrimination can be persisted creating tension e.g. Jewish Eruvium whilst others celebrate assimilation of cultures and schools and groups help understanding.
ST Residents Creating Tension
In Evesham a lot of seasonal workers come for agricultural, many of them don’t speal English and can be exploited. in Cornwall people are coming for tourism therefore when they leave there’s a decline in the public and tourism sector.
