Who is Nuri Pasha al-Said?
An Iraqi politician during the British mandate in Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Iraq. He served fourteen terms as the prime minister of Iraq. He was an elusive guerilla leader, with Jaafar Al-Askari, against the British in Libya in 1915.

What was the Anglo-Iraqi treaty of 1930?
A treaty between Britain and Iraq which relented many powers to Britain, giving them permanent military prerogative in the country even after full independence was achieved. This was signed by then prime minister of Iraq, Nuri al-Said.

In 1941, pro-neutrality elements seized power, installing Rashad Ali al-Khani as prime minister. Nuri fled to Transjordan and then sook exile in Cairo again, only to be reinstalled as prime minister for 2 1/5 years after the British occupied Iraq.
