The Reibergram for immunoglobulin A in dogs: Evaluation of intrathecal IgA synthesis using a quotient graph in dogs with neurological diseases
The canine Reibergram can detect blood-CSF barrier dysfunction and intrathecal IgA synthesis in the majority of cases. The graphical visualization simplifies data evaluation and makes it a feasible tool in routine CSF diagnostic testing.
Increased CSF = common in neuro diseases in dogs
Distinguishing between intrathecally produced proteins and those that have passed through the blood-CSF barrier because of barrier dysfunction facilitates diagnosis.
Albumin = produced extrathecally that can be used to determine barrier dysfunction.
Upper value of physiological albumin quotient = 2.22
Detects diseases with blood-CSF dysfunction @ 81% sens / 88% spec.
Effects of a single subcutaneous dose of enoxaparin on veterinary viscoelastic coagulation monitor variables in healthy cats: Double blind, placebo controlled cross-over trial
