A

Because of their value of maintaining those ecological relationships. They also have high quality jobs for protecting biodiversity, especially old growth forests to maintain such ecological relationships.

One big motivation is to sustain such habitats for human needs, ecosystem services.

A

It came part of the Canadian law in June of 2021 which means the indigenous people can have decisions over biodiversity, which includes having control over 30% of the land by 2030.
