What is C2 - Harmony in Sattva?
Aligning our lifestyles more closely with the rhythms of nature, tuning into and honouring our nature’s elements, qualities, and forces.
The world we live in closely mirrored our own selves. What happens when we seek to remove ourselves from our nature?
Because we’re indivisible, removing ourselves from nature - and our own nature (calling, purpose, dharma), we feel deeply sad, isolated, desperate.
We are nature. What determines our dis-wade and ill health?
Dis ease and ill health is simply the distance we fly from Mother Nature and her embracing, protecting, and healing principles.
Even one step removed is a step too far.
A naturally airier energy pervades after lunchtime, making us feel less attached to our work and purpose.
Mid-afternoon isn’t meant to be a time of sustained doing. What should be done instead?
This energy is makes the mind naturally flightier.
Good for brainstorming, some outdoor journaling, or simply meditating in a way that quells the overactive mind whilst encouraging creativity.
What makes up Vata?
Primary : Wind
2nd: ether
Movement, airiness, lightness, flighty
What makes up Pitta?
Primary: Fire
2nd: Water
Heat, passion, ambition, high energy
What makes up Kapha?
Primary: Earth & Water
Cold, grounded, slow and steady - solid & reliable with excellent stamina.
Why is it recommended to arise before sunrise?
After 6am roughly, Kapha is dominant. The heavy, dull energy isn’t helpful when arising with vitality and lightness.
Do not get pinned to the mattress.
What is the energy like 10am to early afternoon (2pm)?
Pitta dominant. Time of doing - more active, creative, motivated. Do the day’s busy work.
After 2pm, there’s a certain type of energy hit. What is this?
Vata. Left feeling unsure, lost, or overthinking. Flighty.
Take a walk, meditate, Yoga, relax, breathing. This counterbalance Vata
What’s the energy in the evening (6pm-10pm)?
Kapha. Made to retreat, slow down, prepare to set just like the sun.
Time to ignite live, warmth, candlelight.
Make use of the grounding energy and sleep before 10pm
How can I design my house or room for my pitta dosha?
Pitta (overly excited) = cleat distinction bw work and home. Strict with technology, keeping it away. Clear clutter. Surround with Sattva living houseplants.
