- act of leaving one’s country

- can be internal or international
- can be long or short term
What is a refugee
- a person forced to leave their country to escape war , persecution or natural disaster
What is lees migration model and what is it based on
- range of push and pull factors will cause people to move
- based on social, economic and political factors
- both origin and destination have positives and negatives that need to be weighed up
- obstacles can include = border control/Visa, language + distance ect
