The 13th Ashantehene reigned over the Ashante Empire and Yoko Abohyen Dynasty from March 1888. He futilely waged a war against the British in 1896. Despite the British annexation of the Ashante State and deportation of him , he maintained a fierce tenacity to the Sika Dwa throne until his death in 1931. His son and primogeniture succeeded him as the enthroned King .
