This Imperial leader reigned over the Mali kingdom from 1307 A.D. to 1311 A.D One of his jurisdictional province , Djenne Djeno , came under International siege and was rendered evanescent. This presumably influenced his decision toward Maritime venture. He embarked on a Transoceanic voyage. from which he never return. His fraternal successor became Mansa Musa after he served a year of regency during this departed king’s mysterious absence.
Abubakari the Second
Niani as an Ancient Capital of Medieval Mali. Its neoteric seat of assembly is now this location.
Bamako
Circa 1235 A.D. . This Mandiga and Mande Warrior and General was known by this Sobriquet : The Lion Lord . He presided over the Keita clan who coalesced him in the courageously fought Battle of Kirina . There he vanquished the adversarial King , Souamoro Kante , of the Soninke clan ( the Sosso tribe ) . This dauntless warrior staged several conquests of the vulnerable territories , and self proclaimed as a Mansa of the nascent Medieval Mali Empire in 1235 A.D.
Sundiata
This provincial kingdom evolved around 300 B.C. Its Metropolis was South of Timbuktu along the confluence of Bani and Niger rivers. The African indigenes lived in mud walled compound. By the 9th Century , ( 800A.D.) , it coexisted with the Flourishing Iron Age. The Symbiotic trade had 5 enterprising communities :
Bambara of Millet
Fulani of Sorghum
The transhumanct Tuareq of butchered livestock and
The Bozo & Somoro of piscatorial procurement. Along the Niger inland Delta , they marketed these Articles of commerce : African Oryza Glaberrima (rice) , Alabaster and canary yams , palm oil , greens, and meat. Its specialized cadre embraced fishermen , metallurgists , gold quarry-smiths , fruit hawkers , vegetables peddlers , and potters of Terra Cotta .This province was once the jurisdiction of the Malian Emperor , Abubakari the second in 1311 A.D. until it fell prey of failed International Diplomacy : the siege.

300 B.C. to 1311 A.D. : It is also known for its monopolistic ventures. Once had pristine and crystallized waterways and architectural stylized edifices within the Northern Terrain of Mali as “…set. in the backwater of the Bani River , a tributary of Niger , roughly about 300 miles Southwest of Timbuktu …”( Ivan Sertima , They Came Before Columbus, p 41 ) Along the hinterland , the ethnic interstices of the Markas distinguished themselves as Fellahins. This kingdom was also called this.
