Describe a TFT monitor
- much smaller than CRT
- use liquid crystals to form the image
Describe digital projectors
-larger versions of the monitor output for a larger number of people
Describe interactive whiteboards
- touch-screen sensitive surface so people can use a stylus to interact with it
- they are input and output devices
Describe plasma screens
- often uses as TV’s but also as computer monitors
- they work by illuminating tiny fluorescent lights to make the image

- popular in offices where colour is not needed

- suitable for home&office use
- use inkjet technology

- very cheap
- black and white
- poor quality
- used where large volume of prints are needed and quality isn’t

- draw detailed and accurate images
- used to print graphical and technical drawings
- cannot produce full sized colour graphics

- plugged into computer and play sounds produced by sound card
- vary in appearance and quality

- have limited volume and low quality sound
- built into computers for general purpose

- useful for public situations
- attached to a device by cable
- good for call centres where nouse needs to be kept to a minimum

- can be used with a phone so user can use phone while driving
- uses Bluetooth technology to eliminate need for cables
