Teeth that will be extracted are removed from the cast, and the denture is made afterwards

- trauma protection of alveoli
- surgical wound infection protection
- improves bone support
- more pateint comfort
- better phonation/esthetics
- prevents macroglossia
- mastication doesnt deteriorate

- coagulation disorders
- periodontal pathology
- irreversible occlusal disorders

What are irreversible occlusal disorders? (4)
◦ Lack of teeth.
◦ Multiple untreatable caries.
◦ Severe periodontal disease.
◦ TMJ disorders whose cause is occlusion and cannot be solved without extracting teeth.
