What is the definition of Extreme Caution?

A

Travelling at a speed not exceeding 25kmh, or the posted track speed if that is the lesser. Being able to stop the train in half the distance that can be seen ahead, and always being prepared to find the section ahead occupied, obstructed or damaged.

A

Speed Boards

They are placed where permanent speed restriction is required

The Driver must reduce to required speed when the front of the train passes the board and can resume normal track speed when front of the train passes next fixed signal unless stated otherwise.

A

Curve Board

They are placed at curves where train speed must be reduced below track speed.

The arrow indicates the direction of the curve.

The Driver must reduce the speed of the train before the train enters the curve, and only resume track speed after whole train is clear of curve.
