A

Alliance between Britain and USA. They shared a common enemy.

Why was the gran alliance good?

A
  • It divided the attention and lessened the threat to Russian people eg British bombers targeted German cities so the German airforce could not concentrate on Russia.
  • land lease: Roosevelt supplied Russia with American resources. This had a minor significance in military (2% of artillery and 10% of tanks) but the red army was dependant on the land lease for food.
  • made up 17% of calorie intake.
