Restricted Airspace
- areas where operations are hazardous to nonparticipating AC
- artillery firing, aerial gunnery, or guided missiles
- charted with R followed by number (R4401)
- authorization is required to enter these areas
Military Operations Area
- seperation of certain military training from IFR traffic
- non-participating traffic may be cleared thru the MOA
- IFR seperation can be provided
- traffic rerouted if seperation cannot be provided
Military Training Routes MTR
- are aerial corriders across USA
- operate below 10,000feet faster than max 250knots
3numbers: above 1500AGL
4 numbers: below 1500AGL - must cross MTR at 90 degree angle to reduce exposure time
Controlled Firing Area
- contains actvities that could be hazardous to non-participating AC if not conducted in controlled environment
- activities must be suspended when lookoutposition indicates an AC might be approaching the area
- not depicted on aeronautical charts
- refer to appropiate chart supplment
