Q

What are the stages of DNA replication?

A

DNA is unwound and H bonding between bases is broken
primer needed to start replication which binds to 3’ end of strand
DNA poly adds DNA nucleo using complementary base pairing to 3’ end of me DNA forming
DNA poly can only add DNA nucleo in one direction resulting in leading strand being rep continuously and lagging to replicate in fragments
Fragments are joined by ligase
