What is the coopers 12 minute run test?
Participants run round a course for 12 minutes. They then measure the distance covered and calculate their VO2max (aerobic capacity)
What is the hand grip test?
Take a hand grip dynamometer and squeeze as tightly as possible. Take three recordings and take the best score
What is the sit and reach test?
Use a standard tit and reach box and sit with legs straight and feet against the box. Measure how far beyond your toes you can reach

Step on and off a bench every 2 seconds for 5 minutes. Take your pulse at 1,2 and 3 minutes into recovery, to measure your hearts rate recovery. The fitter you are the quicker you recover

What is the Illinois agility run?
A course is set and participants are required to run around and change direction on numerous occasions. It is timed and you have to complete as quickly as possible
What’s the standing stork test?
Stand in both feet, put your hands in your hips, lift one leg. Time how long you can hold this position. You have to be on tip toes
What is the sergeant jump test?
Chalk your finger tips and touch the wall as high as you can. Measure how high above you stand reach mark you jumped and record your result
What is the standing broad jump?
Measure your height in the flood by lying down and getting somebody to mark where you feet and head are. From a standing jump, at your feet mark, see how far beyond your own height you can jump
What is the ruler drop test?
Work with someone. They hold a 1 meter ruler at 0 and you place you thumb and forefinger on the 50cm mark. The partner decides when to drop and you have to catch the ruler as quickly as possible measure the distance it took to catch the ruler
