Food to sustain health (includes tobacco)
Medical care
Practice religion
Send/receive mail
Sanitary protective housing and clothing
Receive humane treatment
Have a copy of rights and responsibilities
Have standards of conduct/orders/notices of camp posted to read
Keep possessions and personal property except weapons, military equipment, and documents
Responsibilities of being a POW
Provide name, rank, service number, DOB
Obey lawful rules and regulations
Perform paid labor as required that is non-military, not degrading or dangerous or unhealthy
Maintain military discipline and courtesy and render honors to officers
Procedures for handling EPWs
Search (disarm) Silence Segregate (by sex and rank) Safeguard (from harm and from escaping) Speed (get quickly to collection point) Tag (DD2745, date/location of capture, capturing unit, special circumstances)
Responsibility to select fellow POW to represent you
Prisoner representatives may be elected q6 months as camp rep, entrusted with representing them before the authorities, protecting powers, and any other orgs
