what do Air Ops Part-SPA and CS-AWO detail?
the requirements for operators wishing to operate landings and take-offs in low visibility with or without electronic guidance systems.
what are low visibility operations classified as? (4)
- manual take off
- auto-coupled approach to or below DH with manual flare, landing and roll out
- Auto-coupled approach followed by auto-flare, auto-landing and manual
roll-out. - Auto-coupled approach followed by auto-flare, auto-landing and auto rollout,
when the Runway Visual Range (RVR) is less than 400 metres.

- aircraft type and operator approved to carry out required category operation
- flight crew trained and authorised
- aircraft fitted with appropriate equipment
