TFD Vehicles and Apparatus

  1. TFD vehicles and apparatus may be parked next to the curb within 15 feet of fire hydrants provided:
  2. TFD personnel shall comply with all posted time limits for parking.
  3. TFD personnel shall not park in a “wrong way” configuration.
  4. TFD personnel shall not park in, park on and/or block the following areas:

someone remains in the vehicle or apparatus and that person is capable of driving the vehicle or apparatus.

a. Sidewalks
b. Driveways
c. Crosswalks
d. Planting or parking strips
e. Intersections
f. Bus stops
g. Designated disabled parking spaces
i. Exception: If the individual currently possesses a valid disabled parking sticker that is properly displayed on his/her TFD assigned vehicle
h. Designated loading zones
i. Access to garbage or recycling containers, loading docks and mailboxes
j. Posted “No Parking Anytime” and/or areas marked with red curb paint

Personal Vehicles

  1. TFD personnel shall park his/her personal vehicle:

  2. TFD personnel shall not park other personal vehicles and/or trailers, including but not limited to recreational vehicles (RV), motor homes, boats, utility or horse trailers, in apparatus bays or station parking lots without the prior approval of _________.
