Right to bear arms
What are the rights of the Third Amendment?
In times of peace, one does not need to quarter (house) soldiers in one’s house
What are the rights of the Fourth Amendment?
Searches and seizures are not to be done if a WARRANT is not obtained with PROBABLE CAUSE
What are the rights of the Fifth Amendment?
- Criminals are given the right to a grand jury trial (result of indictment)
- Self-incrimination is not necessary
- No double jeopardy
- Criminals are entitled to do process of law
- Government is given the right of eminent domain but must pay fair compensation
What are the rights of the sixth amendment?
All are entitled to a speedy, public trial by an impartial jury. All can: 1. Have an attorney 2. Confront the accusers 3. Have the charges read aloud 4. Call witnesses
What are the rights of the Seventh Amendment?
In all civil cases, all are entitled to a fair trial by jury.
What are the rights of the Eighth Amendment?
Excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishments are not permitted.
What are the rights of the Ninth Amendment?
All rights listed in the Constitution are not the only ones that the people are entitled to.
What are the rights of the Tenth Amendment?
Rights that are not given specifically to the federal government are given to the States and the people.
