Anterior: SCM; Post: Trapezius; Inferiorly: clavicle
Posterior Triangle
Anterior: Midline of neck; Post: midline of the neck; superiorly: lower border of the mandible.
Anterior triangle
superior belly of omohyoid; posterior belly of digastric; and SCM
carotid triangle
Right below the middle of the chin (a triangle)
submental triangle
triangle to either side of the middle of the chin: Mandible; digastric; stylohyoid, mylohyoid muscles.
submandibular triangle
the triangle at the midline of the neck
muscular triangle
the fascia that is all the way around the neck and just under the skin!
superficial cervical fascia
the deep cervical fascia that is around the SCM and the Trapezius muslces
investing fascia
The deep cervical fascia that is just infront of the trachia.
pretracheal fascia
the deep cervical fascia that encircles the vetebra, body wall muscles, and the epaxial muscles.
prevertebral fascia
the fascia sheath around the JV, CC, CNX
carotid sheath
The muscle that is located within the superficial fascia anterior of the neck
platysma muscle
the muscle within the investing fascia in the back
trapezius muscle
the muscle that is in the investing fascia in the front…turns the head
sternocleidomastoid muscle
the epaxial muscle at the back of the neck
splenius capitis muslce
the supracostal body wll muscle in the neck
levator scapulae muscle
the internal body wall muscle of the neck
anterior scalene muscle
the intermediate body wall muscle in the neck
middle scalene muscle
the exterior body wall muscle of the neck
posterior scalene muscle
from the hyoid bone down the midline to tendon then second belly to the shoulder
omohyoid muscle (ant. and post. bellies)
