GIT signs - diarrhea

CNS signs - ataxia, paralysis, weakness, incoordination and animal may die

A
  • By viral identification –> using viral culture
  • Serological tests:
    * ELISA for detection of Ab or Ag
    * HA for detection of Ag
    * HIT for detection of Ab

What is the treatment for New Castle disease?

A

NO treatment!

Can reach up to 100% mortality.
Adult birds may recover with supportive care as fluid, nutrition and medication. ATB for secondary infections can be given
