What does Custom Application Integration allow you to do?
A
- Create various application connectors that are not part of the OIN.
- The connectors vary based on what information maybe required to be exchanged between applications and Okta.

A
- Application Integration Wizard, supports the configuration of application authN using SWA, SAML 2.0 and OIDC.

What does templates app and how are they configured?
A
- Templates application can be configured when your application falls outside the authentications that the AIW supports.
- For example, if you have an application that supports WS-Fed and is not in the OIN, then you could set up a Template Application for WS-Fed.

How do you create an AIW app with SWA?
A
- Applications > App > “Add App” > “Create New App”
- Select SWA > Create
- Enter the App’s login page URL.
- Make other customization and selections “Internal Application” to keep out of OIN.
- Check how users wil log in “Users share a single username and pw set by the administrator” or other options.
- Assign users
- Go to your App.
- Create user name and password
Because I said the user could set the username and password that’s why I was able to change both of those.

How do you create an AIW app with SAML?
A
Same steps as 7, but more details are needed.

What is the best practice?
A
- the best practice is to use the AIW for configuring non-OIN applications with Okta, there are template options available.
- Because the AIW options are continually expanding in functionality, the templates are gradually being deprecated.
