Flashcards

Well, coffee shops are everywhere in Korea, like Starbucks, Twosome Place, Hands Coffee, stuff like that.

But among them?. for me. Starbucks is the best. Because, you know, it’s all around in my country, so it’s easy to find one. And it’s really close to my house as well.

And… it’s pretty spacious. I mean, there’s a lot of tables and chairs, so it’s really comfy to stay for a long time. You know, I’m job seeker, so I usually read books and study there.

Also, I love to go there because of its delicious drinks. I think they use fresh roasted coffee beans because it’s always so good!

So, there’s no reason not to go there! I’ve become a regular customer. Well, yeah, that’s all I was going to tell you about my favorite coffee place.

Well, as you know, I’m looking for a job these days. I normally bring my laptop to the coffee shop. Especially during the exam season, I love to go there because, you know… I don’t know why, but I can concentrate on my studies very well when I’m in the coffee shop.

Oh! And, they also provide free Wi-Fi! I love that.

Moreover, I also go there with my friends because all my friends love coffee. I think it’s the perfect place for social gatherings.

Oh! And plus, when I have to wait for someone to come, I usually stay at a coffee shop to kill time. Well, these are the things I normally do at coffee shops.

Oh yeah, one thing just popped into my head. Last summer, I went to the Starbucks near my house to have some coffee. At that time, it was the rainy season, so the weather was so unpredictable. I should’ve brought an umbrella, but I forgot to bring it.

Anyway, as soon as I got there, it started raining. But I was okay because I thought it would stop soon. So, I ordered my coffee and sat at the table. However, the rain turned into a heavy downpour. I was there waiting for the rain to stop, but it wouldn’t.

My home was not so far from there, so I decided to run. But guess what? After that day, I had to stay in bed for a couple of days because I had a high fever and a runny nose. It was really, really bad.

I don’t really remember my first coffee shop. I’m not sure, but it was like a couple of years ago? Back then, I was not a coffee lover, and it was summer, so the weather was scorching hot.

Anyway, it was around 2 pm, and I was on my way home by myself. At that time, I was so thirsty, so I tried to find a convenience store to buy a bottle of water. But I found a Starbucks instead! And I saw a man drinking iced Americano and it looked super cool and delicious.

So I decided to try it. I got into the coffee shop and ordered iced Americano for the first time. As soon as I got it, I gulped down the coffee right away, and that really hit the spot! So, since then, I’ve become a coffee lover.

Well, coffee shops have changed a lot in many ways. In the past, there were just a few coffee shops in my hometown. However, nowadays, there are several coffee shops in one building. I think this is because drinking coffee has become a daily routine for many people. In the morning, I can see many people buying some coffee to go.

What’s more, back then, people used to go to the coffee shops just for coffee. However, nowadays, people go there to read books, study, work, and stuff. So, there are always many people in the coffee shops here and there, everywhere.
