• Extend the patient’s neck so that the IOML is as parallel with the plane of the IR.
• Rotate the MSP approximately 15 degrees away from the side being examined
• tilt the top of the head away from the side being examined approximately 15 degrees.
• CR - Perpendicular to IOML and through the zygomatic approx. 1 ½ inches posterior to outer canthus.
• S/S - The zygomatic arch free of superimposition. This projection is useful with patients who have depressed fractures or flat cheekbones.
