Erlichiosis (headache, muscle aches, fatigue, causes immune dysregulation by infecting and killing white blood cells)
Transmission: Lone star tick
Francisella tularensis
Tularemia (a.k.a. Rabbit fever, Ohara’s fever, Pahvant valley fever) - fever, lethargy, anorexia, signs of septicemia, possibly death.
6 characteristic clinical symptoms: Ulceroglandular (most common) Glandular Oropharyngeal Pneumonic Oculoglandular Typhoidal
Transmission: ticks, rabbits, deer fly

Leptospirosis
At risk occupations: veterinarians, sewer maintenance work, waste disposal facility
Sx: biphasic disease begins with flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, headache). Resolves. 2nd phase meningitis, liver damage, renal failure
Transmission: animal urine

Transmission: armadillos

Cellulitis, osteomyelitis
Transmission: animal bites, cats, dogs
