Bicuspid Aortic Valve. RCC and LCC fused.
Should look for coarctation of aorta and dilation of ascending aorta
What is the continuity equation?
AVA = LVOT Area * LVOT VTI / AV VTI
What is the Diagnosis?
Severe Aortic Insufficiency.
Flow reversal. Retrograde flow. Holodiastolic. In the Distal Aorta.
What is pressure half time?
the time it takes the pressure to decrease to half its initial value
What are the cutoffs for pressure half time for mild, moderate and severe AI?
Mild > 500 ms
Moderate is between 200-500 ms
Severe < 200 ms
If Tricuspid valve has shortened, thickened, stiff valve leaflets that don’t coapt in systole and don’t open in diastole what disease might this be?
Classic for carcinoid disease.
