Yukon river flows through Alaska
Conditions in Alaska are highly variable across the seasons. Winter = conditions are near polar BUT temperatures soar = summer
Yukon river flows through diff types of climate including tundra + mountain.

Winter = precipitation = frozen
Causes the Yukon flow to be low
Summer = there’s precipitation that doesn’t freeze + also snowmelt if the winters precipitation
Causes the Yukon’s flow to be high
