What is health literacy?
An individual’s ability to obtain and process basic health information and services to make good decisions for their mental health.
What is direct cost?
Cost associated with preventing the disease or condition and providing health and wellbeing services for people suffering with it.
What is indirect cost?
Cost not directly related to the diagnosed or treatment of disease, it occurs as a result of someone having the disease
What is intangible cost?
Cost that is difficult to place monetary value, involve feelings from the individual and community
What is a mental disorder?
A term that has a wide range of mental health conditions that affect how we feel, think and behave.
