the piece begins with don complementing Kathy and she asks him a question , he responds with the song
the words are telling Kathy how she was meant for don and that the angles have sent her to him
the orchestra in the background are playing violins and other string instruments
tempo speeds up when they start dancing in hold

each colour has its own spot lights on the floor
When they are dancing in hold their is a pink spotlight following them
from stage right back corner there is a normal white light on the floor adding to the misty atmosphere
overall lighting is very low
props in you were meant for me
there are no props used in this piece however the free standing wooden ladder is used by both actors they climb up and down it
set in you were meant for me
they are on an empty sound stage with a free standing wooden ladder, in the background is a large fan and a tall free standing purple light as well as other pieces of machinery
the backdrop appears to be of purple clouds
costume in you were meant for me
don - white pressed , tailored trousers, with collared polo shirt white a white v-neck vest with a burgundy v detailing
Kathy - a Lilac dress with a square neckline and straps, around the waist is roush of material
she also has a Lilac shawl over her shoulders tied on her left shoulder
use of camera in you were meant for me
the camera travels from zoomed in on don when he begins singing and it rises up to Kathy’s height on the ladder with the back of her head in the foreground
it zooms back in on don
when don climbs the ladder the camera rises up , it lowers when they both climb down
It rotate around the couple
When they start dancing it has a wider angle but travels with them
when they do a quick step the camera takes a Birds Eye view
at the end the camera zooms all the way out

reality v fantasy - the atmosphere created by the background and lighting makes the dance feel like a dream and not reality

Kathy and don are upstage centre and in a ballroom hold they take 4 pivot/waltzes to complete 2 circles. After this do pick s Kathy up and turns 5 times with her in the air. They maintain eye contact
Kathy and don take 4 walks forward commencing on the right foot and holding hands. They then step onto the right foot and ronde jamb the left leg round to the front before stepping onto it briefly and then transferring weight back onto the right foot. Kathy then walks away to down stage right and don runs after her, turning in front of her to take her hands and pull her forward into a dance
Kathy and Don are in a ballroom hold and they do 5 galloping steps around in an anti-clockwise Circle, rotating half a turn every time. When they reach upstage centre don takes Kathy’s right hand and spins her out
