A key theme is joy and happiness. Don is carefree and relaxed when he steps out of his house into the rain. Him cosmo and kathy have just come up with an idea to save the duelling cavalier which has put him in a very good mood.
The rain could be s symbol of all the reasons he has to still be upset yet it cannot ruin his mood

Don jumps around in a large second position holding his umbrella over his right shoulder. He jumps in the puddle five times before walking around in an anticlockwise direction extending his legs to kick the water. Then pivots anti clockwise around his left foot kicking his right foot out with every ½ turn. This movement shows the free spirited enjoyment don is experiencing

Don runs up to the lamppost and jumps onto it. He holds on with his right arm whilst his left is outstretched holding the umbrella. He jumps down and then moves round to hug it with his left arm

Don does a tapping step with his knees bent and he transfers his weight from his left foot to his right foot 4 times whilst kicking the other one out to the side , foot flexed. As he does this the umbrella also swings from left to right
