Q

How do you think the vacuum inside the x-ray tube affects its performance?

A
  • ensure that electrons do not interact with air or another outside particle that disrupts the quality of the image
  • reduction and efficiency of the x ray production

Q

What happens when there will be a crack in the metal enclosure

A
  • the electrons would lose energy through the air conditions.
  • results in the reduction of efficiency of xray production
  • can potentially damage the xray tube

Q

What is Lead shielding and what is its importance in our field?

A

Absorbs stray or scattered Xray, protecting patients and Radtech from unnecessary radiation exposure. Lead because it has a dense atomic number which effectivly blocks the xrays.
