Q

Levels of intervention/conflict resolution

A

Low - I’m not sure about this, I’d be more comfortable, can we get more info, can we think about xyz, etc…

Intermediate - I’m concerned this might scare the pax, FA, be a safety issue, damage the plane, etc…

Nuclear - Tell ATC you need vectors for safety of flight issues, take the controls.

  • If safety of flight issue be proactive
  • If not SOF express reservation and continue

Strategies for hypothetical scenarios

A
  • Ask questions to gather more info (am I at the gate?…)
  • Do I have a problem
  • Build time into the scenario
  • Show them my thinking
  • Don’t change your mind unless your interviewer provides new info
