Germany invaded Czechoslovakia, breaking the agreement that Germany and Europe had.

Japan had invaded a few countries in Asia which led to the battle of midway. This marked a turning point in the war.
Why did so many Americans support isolationism?
Americans support isolationists because they didn’t want to get involved in the war and didn’t want their country demolished.

Honolulu, Hawaii
Why did congress declare war on Japan?
Congress declared war on Japan because Japan bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, destroying many ships, boats, etc.
What role did women play during WWll? Who was “Rosie the Riveter”
Worked in factories and businesses symbolized her name by many women working in jobs.
What is rationing and why was it important?
Use less of something so extra could be sent to soldiers.
Who were the Tuskegee Airmen and how did they contribute to WWll?
The Tuskegee Airmen were black, they were segregated from white pilots. The Tuskegee Airmen served in the Air Force.
What happened on D-Day? Why was this Important? (include Normandy)
D-Day was when the Allied Powers invaded Normandy.This was important because it was the biggest sea invasion in world History.
What was V-E day?
Victory over Europe.
Why did President Truman believe that an atomic bomb would end the war?
He believed it would be a quick and instant way to end the war by dropping a bomb.
What 2 Japanese cities were bombed? What was the result?
Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After the bomb was dropped on Nagasaki the Japanese finally agreed to surrender.
What is V-J day?
Victory over Japan.
What was the Holocaust?
The concentration camps where they tortured Jews.

World-Wide Peace, working together to solve international problems. Where all countries meet and work together.

She traveled the world to garner supports for the United Nations.
