What is Ultra nationalism? What is pursuing ultra-nationalism?
An extreme form of nationalism - the interests of the ultra-nationalist state are pursued without regard to the impacts or effects on other nations.
What are the 5 characteristics of ultra-nationalism?
- Are extreme patriots, glorifying their nation and believing it can do no wrong.
- Often separate people into ‘us’ vs ‘them’. (Racism)
- Promote their own interests while trampling on others (hostile to other nations)
- Use propaganda to manipulate people’s emotions, and encourage people to behave in particular ways.
What causes Ultra nationalism?
Drastic social or economic conditions that cause unemployment, poverty or fears for safety.
What caused the Enabling Acts? What did Hitler do with the power given by the act?
It was the act passed for Hitler to deal with the communist who supposably destroyed the parliament buildings. Hilter then uses this to outlaw all other political parties and put political leaders in the concentration camp.

Revokes the rights of Jewish citizens, and ostracised them from German nation.
