Second Battle of the Marne
Germany fights France all the way to almost Paris But never takes France because the Americans come at the battle of the Marne. This makes the Germans retreat because they were fresh, clean, healthy and this made them fear a continuous war.
Russian Revolution
Because 5.5 million Russians die under Tsar Nicholas 2 & he wants to continue to fight, Russia fights a civil war and is overtaken by VI Lenin. Lenin creates a treaty with Germany, but loses land.
