A plan created by Anton Von Schlieffen that would prepare Germany for a war on two fronts. Hit France and capture Paris and get to Eastern front before Russia finishes mobilizing

1916- first WWI battle fought in trenches and end of fast moving battles

A telegram sent by German foreign minister to his opposite in Mexico that was intercepted by Great Britain and said if war broke out attack USA
