Workplace Violence
Workplace Violence means any of the following (3):
A. the use of physical force against or by an employee in the workplace that causes or could cause physical injury - AKA Actual
B. Attempted use of physical force against or by an employee in a workplace that could cause physical injury - AKA Intended
C. Statement or behaviour that is reasonably believed to be a threat of physical harm or threat to safety or security in the workplace that could cause physical harm - AKA threatened

When will workplace violence assessments be conducted?
As often as is necessary to protect workers.
*Advise the JHSC of the results

What should be done if someone is experiencing domestic violence that may create a risk of danger to themselves or others in the workplace.
Encouraged to report to management staff.
*Assistance is available through employee health services and the employee family assistance program (EFAP)

Personal information will be disclosed only on a need-to-know basis in accordance with:
The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
