what is the treatment and management for pre eclampsia
depends on gestation and severity
can be admitted
bloods - FBC/ U&E/LFTs/ Cls
CTG and USS to monitor foetal wellbeing
regular observations
commence antihypertensives
pre term delivery is indicated
-uncontrollable /severe hypertension
-signs of end organ damage
describe severe pre eclampsia
medical emergency
MDT management
stabilise mother
- magnesium

post natal care
inpatient normally for 48 hours
regular monitoring in community for 2/52
fu with GP and CMW
