<11 weeks = 100% risk of foetus being infected

causes deafness, cataracts, heart, blood and bone defects

40% of women will have infected foetus

4% short term neonatal sequelae

5% will have long term sequelae

yes, in certain situations.

if TOP is offered after 21 weeks there is a potassium chloride injection to attempt to stop the heart prior to abortion
this removes the risk of live birth
