What was the Reichstag Fire?
On the 27th February 1933 a lone Dutch communist Marinus van der Lubbe was caught setting the Reichstag on fire and Hitler used it as an excuse to a Decree of Protection of the People allowing him to ban political opponents giving the Nazi Party 60% of the seats.
