This is a classification in some of the sub-regionsof Bordeaux to rank the best wines from the best Chateaux. They are a strong indication of quality. Most sought after and expensive and age-worthy wines.
What does Cru Bourgeois signify on a label?
Wines from the MEDOC chateaux which are not classified Grand Cru Classe/ Cru Classe can apply for this designation. Usually good to outstanding wines with long ageing potential.
